Text Box: May 25th is National Missing Children’s Day.  It’s a        reminder to all parents, guardians, teachers, and other role models to make child safety a priority.
In honor of National Missing Children’s Day, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children encourages you to take 25 minutes to help make your child safer.  With a focus on prevention, the campaign encourages parents, guardians and any other role model to talk with a child about ways to stay safe.  One of the keys in keeping      children safe is to know the risk factors they face such as threats posed by abductors and online exploiters.  With the right information and resources, you can take action to  better protect your children and pave the way for a safer tomorrow.
What can you do?  Talk to your children, use everyday teachable moments such as play time, dinner time and bed time.  A happy, fun-filled hour at the playground.  A     moment between bites of pizza.  A pause at the end of a busy day.  These are all moments to talk to your children about safety and teach them lessons that can impact them for a lifetime.

Text Box: Thank you Farmers Insurance
Text Box: We have more good news!  Paseo Hills School is a proud      recipient of a $500 grant from Farmers Insurance.  We are one of 10 schools in the state to receive this generous donation from Farmers Insurance.  This check will be presented by Karen   Oleson, parent and Farmers Insurance Agent, during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week.  Farmers Insurance is generously   providing a breakfast for our staff as well.   Paseo Hills is proud to accept these funds and will be using it to bind and print this year’s Paseo Prose publication.  Thank you Farmers Insurance.

Please note that The Giving Closet will be open Tuesday, May 6th and then will close for the summer.  It will reopen on Tuesday, September 2nd.
