Text Box: Did you know that there is an International Walk to School Day? Wednesday, October 3rd, students are encouraged to walk or bike to school. Paseo Hills PTSA would like to encourage as many students and parents to join us in this Walk to School Day. Why walk you ask? We want to promote how walking is just a first ‘step’ in creating a healthy lifestyle. What a great way to start your day but by walking. Walking or biking to school helps reduce stress and allows for Text Box: extra down time (too few of us have enough of that these days). Walking also promotes exercise at the start of the day, encouraging us to continue and remember how important it is to our lives. With exercise and healthy living comes hydration. Water, water, water… it is so important, especially living in the desert. So, October 3rd, allow a little extra time, put your walking shoes on and walk to school. Join your child and make it a goal to walk to school at least one day a week.
